Privacy, in plain words.

This policy explains how Solitword handles information in the mobile game, browser game, and this website.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Who to contact

Solitword is the service described in this policy. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact the Solitword team at support@solitword.com. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information.

Game progress and preferences

Your level progress, saved board, game rewards, language, and sound preferences are stored on your device or in your browser. The game creates a random installation identifier. A player account is not required, and progress does not automatically sync between devices. This website stores your chosen language in local storage.

Mobile game analytics

The iOS and Android game use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how levels and daily puzzles perform. Events can include app launches, level starts, completions and failures, moves, time spent on a level, hints used, daily puzzle results, and catalog loading results. Associated information includes app version, language, level or content version, a random installation identifier, and Firebase’s app-instance identifier. Firebase also processes technical information such as device model, operating system, and coarse location derived from network information. This is used to improve level balance, reliability, and the game experience.

Advertising identifiers and browser analytics

The current mobile integration disables advertising ID collection, advertising personalization, and advertising data sharing. Firebase Analytics is not enabled in the browser game. This marketing website has no analytics scripts or advertising cookies. If these practices change, this policy will be updated before the change is introduced.

Requests to our services

The game downloads level catalogs from our services. Opening the website or loading a catalog makes a network request that includes information needed to deliver it, such as an IP address and browser or app details. Our hosting infrastructure may process technical logs for delivery, security, and diagnosing errors. The current game does not send a separate stream of gameplay analytics to our own backend.

Support messages and service providers

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request. Our services use DigitalOcean for hosting, Purelymail for support email, and Google’s Firebase for mobile analytics. These providers process information needed to provide their services and may process it in countries other than yours. We do not sell your personal information.

Keeping and deleting information

Local progress stays on your device until it is reset, cleared, or removed with app or browser data. Uninstalling or clearing data may permanently remove your progress; it does not automatically delete analytics already received by a provider. Analytics retention is governed by the Google Analytics property settings and Google’s applicable retention policies. We keep support messages and operational records only as long as needed to address the request, operate the service, meet applicable obligations, or resolve disputes.

Your choices and requests

You can clear this website’s language preference or the browser game’s saved data through your browser settings. Clearing game data also clears your progress. To ask about information associated with your installation, request access, correction, or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email support@solitword.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including objection, restriction, portability, or a complaint to your local data protection authority. We may ask for the minimum information needed to verify and locate your data.

Children and sensitive information

The game does not ask you to provide your name, precise location, contacts, or sensitive personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request or otherwise, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes and provider information

We may update this policy as the game and its services change. The date above identifies the latest version. The provider links below explain their own handling of information.
